Panzer Grenadier is an Axis infantry unit featured in Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts and use by the Panzer Elite.

Panzer Grenadier are the main infantry unit in the Panzer Elite army. Arm with a Kar98k rifle similary to the Grenadier Squad. Unlike Grenadier Squad, Panzer Grenadier are highly versatile infantry. Not only they are capable of fighting other infantry. As there are no Pioneer Squad available in the Panzer Elite force, Panzer Grenadier also capable of undergo base construction duty and panzer repairment(although poor quality repairment if advanced repair is not upgraded). Panzer Grenadier can be upgrade to many kind of weapons. Include the Gewehr 43 rifle which excellent for its long range capabilities, MP44 Assult Rifle which are highly effective against infantry and the Panzerschreck for attacking enemy armor. Panzer Grenadier also have a veriety of special upgrade such as Incendiary Granade for taking out infantry in buildings, AT Grenade for knocking out armored vehicles, Advance Repair Abilities for better quality repairment, Group Zeal that enhance thier combat effectiveness if group together and Veteran Sargent upgrade that increase thier speed of obtaining veterancy and enchance thier sprint abilities. They can also garrison in open top halftrack attacking other infantry. Panzer Grenadier work very well with a Panzer Column, providing infantry fire, panzer support and panzer repair. Overall, they are tough, versertile and probably the best infantry working in a mobile panzer force.

Early in the game, they usually has a disadvantage as they are small in numbers and unupgraded. They usually least sucessful in siezing supply and fighting other infantry unit. Best using infantry squad such as Riflemen Squad to overwhelme them. Sniper can kill them easily. Like other infantry are vunerble to machine gun and mortar fire. Unupgraded Panzer Grenadier can do nothing much if encounter an armored vehicle.
