Overview[]
Panzerfüsilier are the light infantry units of the Oberkommando West's Breakthough Doctrine and Grand Offensive Doctrine in Company of Heroes 2. They are a 5 man squad, ideal for long range. Panzerfusiliers can be upgraded with a G43 package which adds another man to their squad as well as increases the squad damage output and sight range. They can alternatively be upgraded with 2 Panzershreks which makes them ideal for tank hunting. Unlike other OKW infantry units, Panzerfusiliers does not gain a passive healing with veterancy, therefore be careful when using these units.
Weapons[]
A Panzerfüsilier squad is initially armed with 5x Kar98k bolt-action rifles. The G43 package upgrade replaces 3x Kar98k bolt-action rifles with 3x G43 semi-automatic rifles and adds an additional man armed with 1x Kar98k bolt-action rifle, greatly increasing the squad damage and sight range. The Anti Tank Package switches out 2x Kar98k bolt-action rifles for 2x Panzershrek anti-tank rockets, but removes the Anti-Tank Grenade snare ability. The G43s make the squad great at all ranges while also having minimal shooting while moving penalties, whereas the Panzershreks make the squad essentially an OKW Panzergrenadiers squad.
Abilities[]
Anti-Tank Grenade - Fires a weak AT rifle grenade. It deals less damage than a Panzerfaust or Panzerschreck, but the main purpose of this ability is to slow down enemy tanks with critical engine damage so your main AT weapons can deal with the armor more easily. Upon being upgraded with the Anti Tank package, however, the Panzerfusiliers lose this ability.
Sprint - Allows the squad to sprint for 5 seconds. Weapons are inactive while sprinting.
Upgrades[]
G43 package - Adds an additional model into the squad, making it a 6-man squad. Replaces three Kar98k bolt-action rifles with G43s and increasing sight range, making the Panzerfusiliers a great reconnaisance unit which surpasses their American counterpart, the Pathfinders.
Anti Tank Package - Replaces 2x Kar98k bolt-action rifles with 2x Panzershreks, making the squad great as tank hunters. Removes the AT Grenade snare ability.

Veterancy 2 - +40% accuracy, +25% grenade and flare range
